ELOPEMENT VS INTIMATE WEDDING?
An intimate wedding is a small, private wedding ceremony with close friends and family in attendance. Usually around 20-40 guests.
An elopement is a ceremony in which the couple chooses to have a minimal number of guests – by my definition less than 20.
Aside from he number of people in attendance – elopements are usually more about the couple and their interests/passions. An intimate wedding is planned and involves some traditional wedding elements, whereas an elopement is very relaxed and the couple spends their day enjoying each other’s company rather than hosting guests. Some couples choose to put a lot of planning into their elopement and may book it months in advance.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO ELOPE?
Eloping is easier than a traditional wedding in a lot of ways—one of which is simply because you have zero limitations! From the location, the time of day, the activities you do, and even what you wear – you can make all the decisions without anyone else’s influence or input. Every elopement I have photographed is completely customized to what the clients desires. Eloping is great for couples that value experiences together over hosting a big wedding.
Most couples that choose to elope crave a day that reflects their relationship. They are couples that value a true experience they can remember forever. They know these memories don’t come from the things they had on their wedding day but from the experience of being together.

Some may think eloping is just “signing a piece of paper” – but I am here to tell you that an elopement can be almost anything you want it to be!
